Chi Wai “Doris” Wong, OD
Dr. Wong grew up in Southern California and obtained her biology degree from UCLA. She settled down in the Pacific Northwest after receiving her Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Missouri, St. Louis in 2002. She is specialized in integrative optometry which takes account of the whole person, including all aspects of lifestyle into eyecare. Her passion for helping people keeps her up-to-date on latest technologies and treatment options for her patients. She is also an advocate for using nutrition and diet to enhance eye health.
In her spare time, she enjoys biking, hiking and spending time with her husband and two children.
Dr. Jinous Ferdosian
Dr. Jinous Ferdosian earned her undergraduate degree in Animal Biology from the University of British Columbia in 2011. Her love for health care and human anatomy made her pursue optometry as a career. She attended the University of Health Sciences College of Optometry and graduated as a top student in 2015. She started practicing optometry in Bellingham, WA and has recently married and moved to Seattle, WA to live with her husband.
Her mission is to improve her patients’ lives with the gift of sight. Her area of interest is managing and treating a variety of ocular diseases such as infections, diabetic retinopathy, and macular degeneration.
Beside eyes, everyone knows her love for international food, photography, and traveling. So feel free to enjoy a friendly conversation with her while she gives you a thorough eye examination.
Donna – Optical Manager
A native of the east coast, Donna relocated from Northern California in 2013 to be closer to her son here in Seattle. Her career in the optical field began in the U.S. Army while serving her country for eight years in the military. After working with the Defense Mapping school in Ft. Belvoir, VA. she was reassigned to be trained as a field medic but specialized as an optometry-ophthalmology technician in Ft. Sam Houston, TX. at the Academy of Health Sciences. Later she obtained her opticianry education in the state of Virginia. She has over 27 years of combined work experience as an ophthalmic technician, optometric assistant, and dispensing optician. Donna is highly skilled and proficient in meeting the needs of our patients. Donna is a mixed media & watercolor artist in her off time, a nature enthusiast, and a philanthropist at heart. She has helped with teaching the visually impaired with fellow artist/ophthalmologist in previous employment. Donna will be more than happy to assist you with any questions or concerns.
Kevin – Apprentice Optician
Kevin is passionate about connecting with others, and sincerely enjoys helping people feel and see as best they can. He takes an easygoing and creative approach to guiding patients towards new glasses and is quick on his toes to assist with repairing and adjusting frames. As an added bonus, he knows more than the average optical specialist about Oakley frames.
Nina – Licensed Optician
Nina grew up in Southern California and moved to Renton as a teen. She has been working in the optical field since 1999 and received her license as a dispensing optician in 2007 upon completing Washington State’s apprenticeship program. Nina enjoys repairing and adjusting eyeglasses and helping patients find the perfect pair of frames for their face shape. In her spare time, she loves watching the latest movies with her husband and spending time with family.
Roxanne has been in the optical industry for over five years and enjoys assisting patients to select their eyewear for their vision needs. She has obtained her American Board of Opticianry certification in 2013 and plans to take the state exam to become a licensed optician. She is compassionate and likes to have a positive impact on each person. In her spare time, she spends time with friends and family such as going on family trips to different places.
Lauren – Apprentice Optician/Technician
Lauren is originally from Seoul, Korea where she worked for over 10 years in all areas of the fashion industry from modeling to merchandising. As an optician, Lauren brings her unique background in fashion to help clients find eyewear that is individualized to their physical attributes, needs and wants. She’s passionate about ensuring that every client is matched with eyewear that looks amazing on them but also feels supported and comfortable. As a technician, Lauren performs tests to collect data that is referenced during the doctor’s examination. When she’s not working, she enjoys spending time in nature, backpacking with her husband, and doting on her two fur babies.
